Our Story

About the Farm

New Growth Project is a nonprofit farm in Rockford, Michigan, where meaningful work and clean agriculture come together. The farm grows chemical-free vegetables while creating real job opportunities for individuals with cognitive differences, proving that good food and good work belong side by side.

Rooted in Quality

The land has been chemical-free for over 40 years, and the organization intends to keep it that way. No harsh pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers. Just rich soil, careful hands, and time-tested growing practices that produce vegetables the way nature intended. When customers buy from New Growth Project, they're getting produce they can trust.

Grown with Purpose

Nearly 81% of individuals with cognitive differences are unemployed. New Growth Project is changing that, one row at a time. Employees plant, tend, harvest, clean, package, and sell the food grown on the farm. Every task is a chance to build confidence, develop real skills, and connect with the community they help feed.

Feeding the Community

New Growth Project believes everyone deserves access to wholesome, affordable food. Through an on-site farm store and community partnerships, the farm brings fresh, chemical-free produce directly to the families who need it most. The team grows it, employees prepare it, and neighbors take it home.

A Living Mission

Every vegetable grown, every shift worked, and every bag of produce a neighbor carries home is proof that investing in people and the land helps everyone thrive.
