Est. in 1956, Mitchell's Patch of Blue specializes in organic heirloom blueberries. Ran by Kyle Mitchell, a sixth-generation Michigan farmer, third-generation organic blueberry farmer, and Kalamazoo Valley Agrifoods, Culinary Arts, & Horticulture Professor. Together with his wife Natalie, they continue to thrive on the original Mitchell ambition that started in 1956. Mitchell's Patch of Blue first began with four acres of Jersey and Rubel blueberries, fast-forward to present day, that dream has expanded to 23 acres, boasting Seven varieties of Certified Organic Heirloom Blueberries. Food Safety is a top priority for us, we hold several certifications including ServSafe, Produce Safety Alliance, and we are a Michigan On-farm Produce Safety Participant Farm.
