Is Locavana cheaper than Shopify?
Yes. The Locavana store is free, with selling by weight and deposits built in. Shopify Grow is $105 a month, and a farm that sells by weight and takes deposits adds apps: about $19 a month for weights, and $29 to $99.99 for deposits depending on preorder volume. That puts Shopify at $153 to $224 a month before pickup or CSA apps.
Can I move my Shopify store to Locavana?
Yes. We import your products, photos and prices straight from your Shopify store, bring over your customer list, and move your domain last and redirect your old pages.
Does Locavana have an app store like Shopify?
No. The farm features Shopify needs apps for (selling by weight, deposits, pickup days and CSA seasons) are built into Locavana, along with share cut sheets, which we found no Shopify app for. No app bills, and one place to get help.
How fast can my store be live?
Send us your URL and you'll see a demo with your own products within 24 hours. Most farms are live within 7 days. We build your new store alongside your current site, so your store is never down and switching over is easy.
Do I have to give up my domain or my Google rankings?
No. Your store runs on your own domain. We move it for you and redirect every old page, so the rankings you have earned carry over.
